Strato, one of the most cheerfully gluttonous boy chasers of the ancient world, was the editor and primary author of the Musa Puerilis, an anthology of over two hundred epigrams devoted to the subject of boy-love. He confessed in one poem, that "I like a boy's body when he's hot from the park, and his flesh glistens with oil. I like a boy with grime on his body, not with the pretty enchantment of the romantics."
