Phoenix is a twenty-something club kid who really gets around. He is one of a set of twins born to Brick's stepsister, Elizabeth. His mother was married long enough to conceive and give birth to her two wonderful sons before she realized that her heart really belonged to their third grade, female, schoolteacher, whom she had met at a PTA Meeting. Since Elizabeth's husband had a rather abusive temper, divorce was an easy decision for her.
Phoenix and his brother Ashe are identical twins although Ashe is rather hairy while Phoenix is remarkably hairless. Phoenix insists that it's a quirk of nature and that he doesn't wax or shave, though his friends believe differently and his brother won't comment. He and his brother moved back to their old room in their mother's house temporarily after graduating college and are spending their time trying to figure out what to do with the rest of their lives.
At this point in his life, Phoenix enjoys living on the edge and writing, so Aaron asked him to host this website feature, "Observations from a Barstool." While Phoenix and his brother, Ashe sexually lean heavily toward men, neither of them have written off the possibility of similar relations with the opposite sex. They both insist that they are attracted to the person and not to the person's gender.
